Thomson Reuters Announces 100 Top Hospitals Award Winners
UH CMC is receives Top Hospitals Award AGAIN
Congratulations! University Hospitals Case Medical Center was ranked in the major teaching hospital category of the recently released Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals: National Benchmarks study.
Only 15 major teaching hospitals nationally appear on this prestigious list and this marks the fifth consecutive year we have been named – an impressive achievement of which we can all be proud.
The study, conducted annually since 1993, identifies the top 100 U.S. hospitals based on their overall organizational performance in nine areas: mortality, medical complications, patient safety, average length of stay, expenses, profitability, cash-to-debt ratio, patient satisfaction, and adherence to clinical standards of care.
Thomson Reuters researchers evaluated 3,000 short-term, acute care, non-federal hospitals. They used public information – Medicare cost reports, Medicare Provider Analysis and Review data, and core measures and patient satisfaction data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Hospital Compare data set.
This distinction is a clear testament to the hard work and dedication of our physicians, employees and volunteers toward delivering the highest quality care to our patients and their families.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the University Hospitals mission: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover.
