Endocrinology Fellowship Benefits, Application Process and Contacts
Benefits: Trainees are entitled to a four-week annual vacation, a salary commensurate with their level of training (PGY4 and PGY5 for year one and two of training, respectively), as well as health insurance in accordance with the policies of UH Cleveland Medical Center. All second-year trainees are supported to attend at least one national meeting and a one week board review (Endocrine University) offered by the Mayo Clinic. First- or second-year trainees who submit an abstract for any of the national meeting will be offered travel support.
Application Process: All applications to join the program should go through the ERAS system. Internal Medicine residents usually start the application process during the latter part of their second year or the very early part of their third year of residency. Applicants are interviewed between August 15th and September 30th, of the year preceding the start of fellowship. Candidates are ranked by a selection committee on the basis of their application, strength of their prior training, interest in the training program and other additional distinguishing features.
