Sleep Fellowship Benefits, Application Process and Contacts

Benefits: Fellows get four weeks of vacation during the academic year. Fellows are also given time off and provided with funding to attend the annual APSS meeting.

Application: The pre-requisite for applying in to the program is completion of training in an ACGME approved residency, i.e. internal medicine, family medicine, psychiatry, neurology, pediatrics, otolaryngology. Although, the sleep medicine fellowship is based under the Division of Pulmonary Critical Care, a pulmonary fellowship is not a requirement for entry in the Sleep Medicine Fellowship program. Practicing physicians wishing to specialize in sleep medicine should contact the program for more information on enrollment.

Each academic year, four positions are be available in the Sleep Medicine Fellowship program. If interested, applications and other required documents should be submitted through ERAS.

The application period opens in July for entry into the following academic year. The interviewing process begins in August.

Required documents include:

  • Completed application;
  • Personal Statement;
  • USMLE Certified Transcript of Scores;
  • Three letters of reference
  • Photo
