Residents are compensated according to their level of training:

PGY 1: $54,175
PGY 2: $56,000 
PGY 3: $57,835 
PGY 4: $60,250
PGY 5: $62,200
PGY 6: $64,860 
PGY 7: $66,740

In addition, our program supports the professional development of residents. Below is the list of resident benefits by year of training:

Categorical PGY1: American College of Physicians (ACP) membership purchased for all interns
Preliminary PGY1: Book allowance of up to $200 annually (July 1 - June 30). Travel allowance of up to $1000 per conference where an original abstract/poster is being presented. Categorical PGY 2, PGY3 (including Med-Peds): Book allowance of up to $200 annually (July 1 - June 30). Please note that unused funds do not roll over to the following academic year. In addition, the Association of Residents and Fellows (ARF) occasionally awards fund for a limited number of travel awards. The goal of the travel award is to award residents funding to partially deflay the cost of attending a scientific meeting or symposium at which the resident or fellow is making a presentation related to their current clinical, basic or translational research (a limited number of awards geared towards healthcare advocacy or career development will also be considered). A maximum of $400 per successful application will be awarded; awards are only granted to ARF members. Click here to download the application and guidelines.
