U.S. News Hospitals Rankings for 2023-2024
The Department of Medicine has one specialty nationally ranked and five specialties ranked as high performing.
For the Department, Cancer ranked #39 nationally in the U.S. News report and Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Geriatrics, Nephrology, and Pulmonology & Lung Surgery all ranked as High Performing.
Cliff A. Megerian, MD, Chief Executive Officer of UH states, "University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center has been named by U.S. News & World Report to its 2023-2024 Best Hospitals list, an achievement it has made 25 years in a row. It also tied for third among all hospitals in Ohio. U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals and only 12 percent earned a Best Hospitals ranking. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience."
